Day
1 - Arrive Prague (3 nights)
On arrival in Prague you are transferred to your hotel. Later, we
will enjoy a welcome drink with our Tour Director. This evening why
not enjoy Prague by night? (Dinner)

Day
2 - Prague sightseeing & at leisure
With a local guide, our sightseeing tour features the Hradçany
Castle, the Old Town Square and the romantic Charles Bridge. Then
free time to shop for bargains in Bohemian crystal. (Buffet
Breakfast)

3 - Prague at leisure
A full day at leisure and there’s so much to see and do. Tonight,
enjoy an included dinner of Czech specialities in a local
restaurant. (Buffet Breakfast)

Day
4 - Prague – Lednice – Vienna (3 nights)
Today via Brno, one-time headquarters of Napoleon, to Lednice
Castle, to visit the Italianate gardens. We cross the border into
Austria to Vienna. Tonight, why not take a stroll through the Prater
Park and take a ride on the big wheel?

Day
5 - Vienna sightseeing & at leisure
Today's guided sightseeing tour shows us the Hofburg Palace, the
Parliament Buildings, the Opera house and St. Stephen's Cathedral.
Later time is your own to take a trip into the Vienna Woods or
explore the elegant squares in the oldest part of the city. Tonight
we enjoy a dinner of Viennese specialities at a 'Heurige' in the
Vienna Woods.

6 - Vienna at leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure. Perhaps shop in the Kärntnerstrasse or
visit beautiful Schönbrunn Palace Later, why not take in a concert
of Strauss music? (Buffet Breakfast)

7 - Vienna – Danube Valley – Budapest (3 nights)
It’s not long before we are in Hungary. We drive along the route
known as the 'Danube bend' with its quaint old villages and
orchards. Here we stop at Esztergom and see its fine Cathedral,
Castle and St. Tamas Hill before following the Danube to Budapest.
Tonight, why not enjoy a Danube cruise to see the beautiful city by
night? (Buffet Breakfast)

8 - Budapest sightseeing & at leisure
Today's sightseeing tour shows us the Matthias Church, Fishermen's
Bastion, the Great Synagogue and Heroes' Square. Then free time to
shop for Hungarian embroidery. Tonight we enjoy a goulash dinner to
the accompaniment of Hungarian music! (Buffet Breakfast /
Highlight Dinner)

9 - Budapest at leisure
A full day to relax and enjoy the sights or perhaps indulge in some
spa treatments at one of the Turkish baths. You may also wish to
visit the interior of the Opera House or enjoy some mouth-watering
pastries at Gundel's famous restaurant! (Buffet Breakfast)

10 - Depart Budapest
Bid farewell to new-found friends at the end of your tour. Your
Trafalgar Tour Director organises your transfer to Budapest Airport
arriving at approximately 07.00am for your return flight home. For
passengers who wish to be transferred to Vienna, we will transfer
you to the Trafalgar extra night hotel in Vienna with arrival around
3.00pm. (Buffet Breakfast)

Airport
Transfers
- London Gateways:
Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and
central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your
transfers to and from the airport are included. It's that
simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your
airport and Central London.
- Important – Please Note: Passengers
will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports
providing the following conditions are met:
- You are staying at a London hotel,
booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night
prior to the date of your departure.
- Flights are either booked by
Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your
Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.
- Only one included transfer both
inbound and outbound per tour is included by Trafalgar.
Transfers are by express train to a Central London Rail Station.
- Heathrow Express operates between
05.10-23.30. Gatwick Express operates inbound services between
05.20-23.45 and outbound services from 04.30-23.45. Transfers
outside of these times are at the passengers own expense.
- In the event of unforeseen events
(road or rail works, demonstrations, strikes) Trafalgar will not
be held responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.
- No refund is available for
passengers not utilising this service.
- Why not upgrade to a Hotelink
transfer from the Airport to-the-door of your Trafalgar London
hotel? (please ask Trafalgar or your travel agent of the
additional upgrade price per person when booking)
- European Gateways: With
Trafalgar all passengers will receive complimentary arrival and
departure transfers on the scheduled arrival and departure day
of their tour at the times specified below. Please ensure your
Travel Agent reserves your flight to co-ordinate with the
transfer times shown.
- Trafalgar Bonus - Passengers who
book Trafalgar's Land+Air package and who arrive or depart
outside of these specified times on the scheduled arrival and
departure day of the tour will also be provided with a transfer.
- Passengers arriving before or
leaving after the scheduled tour days are not entitled to a
transfer but may book and purchase one through Trafalgar
providing that they also purchase the additional pre and/or post
tour hotel night(s) from Trafalgar. Please ask for prices of
transfers at the time of booking your extra night accommodation.
- Land only passengers arriving or
departing on the scheduled tour arrival or departure days but
whose flights don't coincide with the listed transfer times

- VIENNA. Imperial Highlights
We enjoy a guided visit to the Palace of Schönbrunn, with its
magnificently preserved state rooms and exquisite gardens. From the
summer residence of the Hapsburg monarchs, we continue to either the
Imperial Treasures, the Vienna Opera House or the Crypts and Vaults
of the Imperial family for a guided tour.

- VIENNA. Vienna Woods Excursion
Accompanied by a local guide, we drive to the west of this Imperial
City to the romantic Vienna Woods. Through charming wine villages
ascend the Kahlenberg heights for a magnificent panorama of Vienna
stretching to the Pannonian plain. Then on to visit the Romanesque
Abbey of the Holy Cross at Heiligenkreuz before stopping at
Mayerling and the Carmelite convent which marks the spot where the
tragic events of 1889 took place. These and much, much more will be
revealed to us on this fascinating and scenic tour.

- PRAGUE. Nelahozeves Castle
The sixteenth century represents the pinnacle of Renaissance
Bohemian architecture. Returned to the Roudnice-Lobkowitz noble
family in 1993, the castle houses the acclaimed exhibition,
"Six centuries of European Art Patronage" in one of the
most important private museums in Europe. The collection
incorporates thousands of works from the Renaissance including
important paintings by Cranach, Brueghel the Elder, Rubens etc. A
significant part of the exhibition features a major collection of
furniture, ceramics, porcelain and glass, family photographs and
also musical instruments and manuscripts of Beethoven, Mozart and
others. Adjacent to the museum, we see the birthplace and a monument
to the legendary Czech composer, Anton Dvorak. The Castle restaurant
is our venue for lunch!

Tonight we drive through the illuminated city of Budapest en route
to a lively Hungarian folklore show, where you will see traditional

Visit and admire the most beautiful parliament building in the whole
of Europe. Its opulent interiors constitute some of the most
magnificent examples of decorative art in the world. Afterwards we

scenic ride. Later enjoy a delicious Hungarian pastry and a cup of
coffee. On certain departures, the Opera House will be visited
followed by pastry and coffee in a traditional café.
