Day
1 - Arrive Oslo (2 nights)
On your arrival at Oslo airport you are met and transferred to your
hotel. After check-in there's time to relax and explore this
beautiful city. Later, we will enjoy a welcome drink with our Tour
Director and fellow companions.

Day
2 - Oslo sightseeing & at leisure
After breakfast this morning, our guided sightseeing tour features
the National Theatre, Parliament and the Royal Palace. Then we'll
enjoy a highlight visit to Frogner Park, home of Gustav Vigeland's
193 extraordinary sculptures. Then with time at leisure, the
Holmenkollen Olympic ski-jump, the Kon-Tiki raft, or shopping are
some of the tempting attractions. (Scandinavian Breakfast)

Day
3 - Oslo – Geilo – Lofthus
This morning we will enjoy beautiful scenery as we head out of Oslo
along the shores of the Tyrifjord, past trim farms and into densely
forested Hallingdal. From here we continue to the ski resort of
Geilo and then across the bleak Hardangervidda. Next we pass the
Voringfoss, Norway's most admired waterfall, on our way to the
Hardangerfjord. We continue our drive along the shores of the
steep-sided Eidfjord, on the approach to our hotel in Lofthus for
the night, beautifully located on Sorfjord, an area famous for its
fruit growing. This evening dinner will be served at our hotel. (Scandinavian

Day
4 - Lofthus – Bergen
This morning we board a ferry and cruise across the Hardangerfjord.
Then by coach we continue on the scenic winding roads and tunnels to
the 'Capital of the Fjords' Bergen. This is Norway's most naturally
beautiful city and orientation shows us the 13th century Haakons
Hall and the Fish Market. There's time at leisure to explore the old
merchant's quarter of Bryggen or maybe take an optional excursion to
Edvard Grieg's home at Troldhaugen. Dinner tonight will be at our
hotel. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Day
5 - Bergen – Voss – Sognefjord – Loen
Our first stop this morning is at the resort of Voss, before we
continue on to the magnificent Sognefjord. From here we drive along
the shores of 'the King of Fjords' and up through spectacular
mountain scenery before we enter the narrow Fjaelandfjord. We
continue through rugged landscape, viewing the imposing Bøya
Glacier before arriving at our hotel in Loen for dinner and our
overnight stay. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Day
6 - Loen – Hellesylt – Geiranger
This morning after breakfast you may wish to take a trip along
beautiful Olderdal to see the spectacular Briksdal Glacier before we
drive to Hellesylt, a port dating back to Viking times. From here we
take a cruise along the Geirangerfjord for some of the finest
scenery in the whole of Norway. The fjord is hemmed in by sheer rock
scattered with narrow waterfalls. The rest of your day is at leisure
in the glorious setting of the village of Geiranger. Tonight we
enjoy dinner at the hotel. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

7 - Geiranger – Lom – Lillehammer
On our drive this morning we marvel at the breathtaking views from
the Dalsnibba Pass, en route to visit a traditional Stave Church at
Lom. From here our journey takes us through the Gudbrandsdal Valley,
inspiration for Ibsen's Peer Gynt, as we make our way to the home of
the 1994 Winter Olympics – Lillehammer. Before dinner at the hotel
this evening, maybe walk along Storgata or visit the famous open air
museum at Maihaugan. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Day
8 - Lillehammer – Hamar – Oslo
After breakfast our first stop will be at lakeside Hamar on the
shores of Lake Mjøsa. Here we view the unusual ice rink built for
the Olympics, before driving to Eidsvoll to see where Norway's
leading citizens drafted their liberal constitution. From here it's
back to Oslo. On our arrival there is time at leisure to explore or
shop for some last minute souvenirs. This evening, a final chance to
sample Norwegian Aquavit
and perhaps enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow travelling
companions. (Scandinavian Breakfast)

9 - Depart Oslo
This morning after breakfast, time to bid a fond farewell to
new-found friends, your Tour Director and Norway, as we transfer you
to the airport for your return flight home. (Scandinavian

Airport
Transfers
- London Gateways:
Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and
central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your
transfers to and from the airport are included. It's that
simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your
airport and Central London.
- Important – Please Note: Passengers
will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports
providing the following conditions are met:
- You are staying at a London hotel,
booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night
prior to the date of your departure.
- Flights are either booked by
Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your
Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.
- Only one included transfer both
inbound and outbound per tour is included by Trafalgar.
Transfers are by express train to a Central London Rail Station.
- Heathrow Express operates between
05.10-23.30. Gatwick Express operates inbound services between
05.20-23.45 and outbound services from 04.30-23.45. Transfers
outside of these times are at the passengers own expense.
- In the event of unforeseen events
(road or rail works, demonstrations, strikes) Trafalgar will not
be held responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.
- No refund is available for
passengers not utilising this service.
- Why not upgrade to a Hotelink
transfer from the Airport to-the-door of your Trafalgar London
hotel? (please ask Trafalgar or your travel agent of the
additional upgrade price per person when booking)
- European Gateways: With
Trafalgar all passengers will receive complimentary arrival and
departure transfers on the scheduled arrival and departure day
of their tour at the times specified below. Please ensure your
Travel Agent reserves your flight to co-ordinate with the
transfer times shown.
- Trafalgar Bonus - Passengers who
book Trafalgar's Land+Air package and who arrive or depart
outside of these specified times on the scheduled arrival and

- GEIRANGER. Trollstigen - half day
Amazing views of the Norddalsfjord before we start our climb through
fertile strawberry valleys, stopping at Gudbrandsjuvet, a thundering
gorge, before rising to the “Ladder of the Trolls” –
Trollstigen, a masterpiece of engineering and Norway’s most famous
road. This is Norwegian rugged mountain scenery at its finest.

Visit a traditional working mountain farm set amidst glorious alpine
