Day 1 - London – Oxford – Bath – Bristol
This morning after breakfast our Tour Director gives us a warm
welcome as we make our way to
the first stop of our day, Oxford. Here we will visit one of the
University's Colleges before we continue on a scenic drive through the
Southern Cotswolds which takes us to Bath. On arrival we will admire
its Georgian architecture and stop to visit the Roman Baths. Next
we're off to nearby Bristol where we enjoy a welcome drink with our
Tour Director and fellow travelling companions before dinner at our
hotel this evening. (Dinner)

Day 2 - Bristol – Plymouth (2 nights)
This morning after a drive to admire the rugged beauty of Cheddar
Gorge, we continue on to Glastonbury
the legendary burial site of King Arthur, where we visit the Abbey
ruins. From here we make our way south into Devon taking us by the
wild and rugged Dartmoor National Park en route to the historic naval
port of Plymouth, where we spend the next two nights. After
check-in, we will dinner at our hotel this evening. (Full Breakfast /
Dinner)

Day 3 - Cornish Excursion
After breakfast this morning we enjoy a delightful day touring this
beautiful area and rugged coastline. We will visit the artists' colony
of St. Ives, the furthest point southwest on the English mainland at
Land's End and there's also the chance to photograph St. Michael's
Mount near Penzance. Later, just sit back and relax on our leisurely
drive back to Plymouth for the night. (Full Breakfast)

Day 4 - Plymouth – Tintagel – Bideford
After breakfast, our first stop this morning will be at Tintagel for
views of the ruined castle, reputed to be the birthplace of King
Arthur. From here our drive continues to the picturesque and steeply
cobbled village of Clovelly. Finally we make our way to the Devon
resort of Barnstaple for the night. Dinner is included at our hotel
this evening. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 5 - Bideford – Stonehenge – Salisbury – London
This morning after breakfast we drive past Lorna Doone's famous
Exmoor as we leave the West Country. Then we cross Salisbury Plain
to the ancient and mysterious monoliths of Stonehenge. From here we
continue to our next stop at Salisbury to view its impressive
Cathedral. Finally, we board our coach for the return journey to
London. (Full Breakfast)

Airport Transfers
- London
Gateways: FREE Airport Transfers to and from London's
Airports direct to Central London (Paddington Station)
- A Trafalgar
bonus – transfers can be expensive, particularly between the
Airport and central London. When you book your Costsaver tour
with Trafalgar your transfers to and from the airport are
included. It's that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free
transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
- Important –
Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers
to and from London Airports providing the following conditions
are met:
- You are staying
at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your
arrival and the night prior to the date of your departure.
- Flights are
either booked by Trafalgar or detailed information on flights
is provided by your Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior
to departure.
- Only one
included transfer both inbound and outbound per tour is
included by Trafalgar. Transfers are by express train to a
Central London Rail Station.
- Heathrow Express
operates between 05.10-23.30. Gatwick Express operates inbound
services between 05.20-23.45 and outbound services from
04.30-23.45. Transfers outside of these times are at the
passengers own expense.
- In the event of
unforeseen events (road or rail works, demonstrations,
strikes) Trafalgar will not be held responsible for delayed or
cancelled transfers.
- No refund is
available for passengers not utilising this service.
- Why not upgrade
to a Hotelink transfer from the Airport to-the-door of your
Trafalgar London hotel? (please ask Trafalgar or your travel
agent of the additional upgrade price per person when booking)
- European
Gateways: With Trafalgar all passengers will receive
complimentary arrival and departure transfers on the scheduled
arrival and departure day of their tour at the times specified
below. Please ensure your Travel Agent reserves your flight to
co-ordinate with the transfer times shown.
- Trafalgar Bonus
- Passengers who book Trafalgar's Land+Air package and who
arrive or depart outside of these specified times on the
scheduled arrival and departure day of the tour will also be
provided with a transfer.
- Passengers
arriving before or leaving after the scheduled tour days are
not entitled to a transfer but may book and purchase one
through Trafalgar providing that they also purchase the
additional pre and/or post tour hotel night(s) from Trafalgar.
Please ask for prices of transfers at the time of booking your

- Land only
passengers arriving or departing on the scheduled tour arrival
or departure days but whose flights don't coincide with the

A boat trip around the harbour of one of England’s most famous
seaports. View the Mayflower steps where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail
for America, and ships sailed for Australia, New Zealand and
Newfoundland. See panoramic vistas of Plymouth Hoe, site of Drake’s
legendary game of bowls. Into the Royal Navy Dockyard and a chance to
see some of the modern vessels of the Royal Navy. A descriptive
commentary is given by the skipper.

A scenic drive across the wild countryside of mysterious Dartmoor to
a welcoming pub. Dinner and a drink are included and a chance to hear
stories about the ghosts and legends of the moor.

Tour Bristol with a local guide and learn about the city’s many
links with America and its long maritime history. See the S.S. Great
Britain, the world’s first iron transatlantic liner and marvel at
the Clifton Suspension Bridge, both designed by the great Victorian
engineer, Brunel. Among many of the highlights we will see the St.
Mary Redcliffe church. Finally we will be enlightened as to the
origin of the mysterious saying ‘Cash on the Nail’ – vital clues
will be revealed to us during our exploration of this important
British city!
