Day 01: Singapore / Beijing / Acrobatic
Show (Dinner) Assemble at Singapore Changi
International Airport for your jet flight to
Beijing, capital of the Peoples' Republic of
China. Upon arrival you will be met by our
representative and transfer to the hotel.
After dinner, you will enjoy the popular
Beijing Acrobatic Show. |

Day 02: Beijing / Summer Palace /
Forbidden City / Hutong Tour (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
This morning, proceed to the Summer Palace
which was first built in 1750 and rebuilt in
1886. An outstanding example of imperial
gardens in classical Chinese style, the
Summer Palace spreads on an area of 2.9
million square meters, three fourths of
which are water surfaces.
Next, visit the Forbidden City situated in
the middle of Beijing's meridian line. Built
during the 1406-1420 period., it had served
as the imperial palace for the Ming and Qing
dynasties. In the intervening years 24
emperors had lived in this compound with its
hoard of 1.05 million rare and precious
relics.
A tour will take you to Hutongs. Hutongs are
back alleys where old traditions remain very
much alive and kicking. There are 4,550
hutongs built around Beijing's Forbidden
City during the Yuan, Ming and Qing
dynasties. With very few exceptions they are
quadrangles, a closed-in structure
characterized by houses arranged
symmetrically on all sides of a square
courtyard. |

Day 03: Beijing / Great Wall / The Ming
Tomb / Wangfujing Street Shopping Area (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Today's highlight is a visit to the
Great Wall - one of mankind's greatest
engineering achievements. Construction of
this formidable defense work began in the
seventh century B.C. After it was brought to
completion during the reign of Qinshihuang,
the founder emperor of the Qin Dynasty, it
was extended repeatedly in later dynastic
periods until the Ming Dynasty. It meanders
for some 6.400km across mountains and
valleys.
Ming Tombs, the final resting place of 13
Ming Emperors, is the 64km long sacred way.
it is lined with 18 pairs of huge stone
statues of men and animals.
Thereafter, proceed to Wangfujing Street
which has been around for well over a
century as a well known shopping street in
Beijing. |

Day 04: Beijing / Temple of Heaven /
Underground City of Beijing (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
This morning, continue on to visit the
Temple of Heaven which was first constructed
in 1420 as the venue for emperors of the
Ming and Qing dynasties to pray to heaven
for good harvests. The worldwide fame fo the
Temple of Heaven is attributed to its
well-disciplined layout an unique, elegantly
ornamented architecture and structures. |
Day 05: Shanghai / Singapore (Breakfast)
After breakfast, free at leisure till transfer to airport for departure back
to Singapore.
