Day 01:
Singapore / Johannesburg
/ Cape Town (meal on board)
Your South African Holidays begins with a pleasant flight to
Cape Town via Johannesburg & Hong Kong.

Day 02:
Arrive Cape Town
Upon
arrival in Cape Town International Airport, meet and greet by
Thompsons Gateway Representative. Transfer to your hotel for check
in. (Rooms might not be ready for check in due to early arrival). In
the afternoon, proceed for a half-day city tour of Cape Town. The
ultimate ‘Mother City’ experience. Take a cable car up Table
Mountain (own account and weather permitting), before descending for
a walk through the historic Company Gardens. Enjoy a fascinating
orientation tour of the ‘Mother City’, the Houses of Parliament,
Greenmarket Square flea market, and the colorful Cape Malay quarter.
Explore the moat and torture chamber at The Castle, South Africa’s
oldest building. Visit a diamond workshop before being dropped off
at the V&A Waterfront shopping paradise or your hotel.

Day 03:
Cape Town / Oudtshoorn
(Breakfast)
We fetch
you from your hotel by 08h00 and travel via the town of Montagu on
‘Route 62’ (South Africa’s version of America’s famous ‘Route 66’)
to the pretty village of Barrydale where we stop for tea (own
account) at the Country Pumpkin Restaurant. Then on to Oud-tshoorn,
known as the ‘Feather Capital of the World’ thanks to its huge
ostrich industry. After a fascinating tour of an ostrich farm, we go
underground to marvel at the icy form-ations in the Cango Caves,
regarded, for good reason, as one of South Africa’s most spec-tacular
natural wonders. We overnight in an Oudtshoorn hotel.

Day 04: Oudtshoorn / Knysna
(Breakfast)
We drive
via the spectacular Outeniqua Pass to the town of George, where we
then cont-inue onto Knysna in the best possible way, on board the
nostalgic steam train, the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe. Upon arrival in
Knysna we continue to the popular seaside resort of Plettenberg Bay,
playground of South Africa’s rich and famous, in time for lunch (own
account). We visit the ‘Garden of Eden’ forest, where we enjoy a
leisurely walk through this aptly nam-ed natural paradise, before
arriving back at Knysna.

Day 05: Knysna (Breakfast
& Lunch)
Enjoy
a cruise on the vast Knysna Lagoon and visit the Featherbed Nature
Reserve. Enjoy an amazing view of the imposing sandstone ‘Heads’
which guard the sea’s entrance to Knysna’s huge tidal lagoon, and
the forests, marshes and pristine beaches surrounding it. After
lunch the remainder of the day is at lei-sure, enjoying this lovely
and special town.

Day 06: Knysna / Cape Town
(Breakfast)
After
breakfast we head back to the ‘Mother City’, via Swellendam and
Hermanus, which has earned international fame as a place from which
to spot the magnificent Southern Right Whale during its breeding
season (July to Nov-ember only). We arrive in Cape Town in the late
afternoon, and say our goodbyes either at a central Cape Town hotel
or the airport.

Day 07:
Cape Town (Breakfast &
Lobster Lunch)
Depart
for a full day Cape Point tour. See for yourself how this
spectacular southern tip of Africa became known as the ‘Fairest
Cape’. Drive past the pristine beaches of Camps Bay, Clifton and
Llandudno, currently the hottest real estate in the world, to Hout
Bay, a functioning harbour and heart of the local crayfish industry
(optional Seal Island cruise, time permitting). Drive along the
breathtakingly scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive, around the Atlantic
Seaboard. After a stop for lunch (own account), it’s on to the Cape
of Good Hope Nature Reserve and its scenic viewing point. The
spectacular sea and mountain views are reason enough to make the
66km trip from Cape Town. Amid the rocky landscape, home to mountain
zebra, eland and ostriches, blooms magnificent Cape flora. Continue
along the coastline to the beautiful Boulders Beach and visit its
colony of penguins. Visit the naval port of Simon’s Town, the
country’s third oldest European settlement, before returning to Cape
Town.

Depart Cape Town /
Johannesburg (Breakfast)
After
breakfast, the day is free for leisure and last minute shopping; you
will be transfer to Cape Town Domestic Airport for your flight to
Hong Kong via Johannesburg

Arrive Singapore with fond
memories and souvenirs of South Africa which cannot be found
elsewhere in the world!

Standard check-in time for all
hotels in South Africa is from 1400 hours onwards, with the
exception of hotels in Sun City, where check-in time is at 1600
hours. As many international flights arrive South Africa in the
early morning, early check-in will be subject to room
availability. Early check-in can, however, be guaranteed for an
additional fee (equivalent to 01 night's room rate)

Payment &
Cancellation Charges
Full payment is required 30 days before departure. Failure
to comply with this may result in cancellation. After a deposit
has been made, any changes in the tour or departure dates will
automatically be subjected to the above cancellation charges.
Cancellation by tour members of confirmed bookings must be made
in writing to avoid any misunderstanding and the following
cancellation fees will be imposed: -

Amendment Fees
A charge equivalent of S$50 per booking will be levied for
each amendment to a confirmed booking.

Cancellation Of Tour By
Company
We guarantee tour departure upon receipt of your full tour
payment. At time, due to low subscription for a particular tour,
the company may choose to cancel the entire tour, In such cases,
the company will refund any money paid by you.

Refund And Unused Services
No refund or exchange can be made in respect of
accommodation, meals sightseeing tours, transport of any other
services which are included in the tour fares but not utilized by
the tour member.

Passport & Visas
It is the passenger's
responsibility to ensure that they have a valid passport with the
minimum 6 months validity from the date of departure. Relevant
visas and vaccination may be required. Ample time must be given to
us for application of visas, subject to granting of visas by
respective embassies and immigration regulation upon arrival.

Travel Insurance
You are strongly recommended to arrange insurance coverage
with respect to trip cancellation, personal baggage, personal
accident, injury and illness to protect yourself, please check
with us on the various insurance coverage schemes available
through us.
