Day 01: Singapore - Jodhpur (Dinner)
Met on arrival in Jodhpur and transfer to hotel.
Afternoon sightseeing of Umaid Bhawan Palace, Mondore
Gardens and Museum.
Umaid Bhawan Palace -
Also known as Cheetar Palace, the Umaid Bhawan
Palace is the only 20th century palace built under the
famine relief project that gave employment to famine
struck population. The palace was completed in 16 years.
The brilliant monument built in sandstone is still the
residence of the former rulers with a section of it
running as a hotel and the remaining part as a
museum.
Mondore was a
capital of Marwart Jodphur. The ruined fort and palace
survive on the hilltop and the garden below have become
a public park with fountains and the cenotaphs of
Jodphur's maharajas - who presumably continued to use
the gardens after moving to the Meherangarh in Jodphur.
The Hall of Hero's, with 15 figures carved out of living
rock, is beside the baoli, where the path from the fort
reaches Mandore Gardens.

Day 02: Jodhpur (Breakfast, Dinner)
After breakfast, depart for Meherangarh fort,
museum and Jaswant Thada.
Meherangarh Fort -
The 5km long majestic fort on a 125m high elevated land
is one of the most impressive and formidable structure
in Jodphur. Although invincible from the outside, the
fort has four gate approached by a winding road. Within
the fort are some awesome palaces with interestingly
carved panels, latticed windows and evocative names.
Jaswant Thada - A cluster of royal cenotaphs
in white marble built in 1899AD in memory of Maharaja
Jaswant Singh II. Within the main cenotaph are
the portraits of various Jodphur rulers.

Day 03: Jodhpur -
Jaisalmer
(Breakfast, Dinner)
After breakfast, depart for Jaisalmer. Free at
leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 04: Jaisalmer
(Breakfast, Dinner)
After breakfast, depart for Jaisalmer Fort, Jain
Temples, Partwon Ki Haveli, Nathmal Ji Ki & Tazia Tower.
After Lunch, visit famous Sand Dunes, Camel Safari (at
own cost) and Rajasthani folk dance and music.
Jaisalmer Fort - The
Jaisalmer Fort stands about 100m over the city and in
fact houses a citadel within its massive ramparts.
Walking down the narrow cobbled stone lanes, one can
feel and sense the true magic of Jaisalmer. Several
entrances called Pols, including the Ganesh Pol, Suraj
Pol, Bhoota Pol and the Hava PoL guard the Megh Durbar
and the Jawahar Mahal which were occupied by the royal
family. Outside the fort is the main market place called
Manek Chowk. From Manek Chowk, one can walk into the
lanes where the famous carved havelis are to be found.
The Jaisalmar Fort is popularly known as the Golden Fort
for its amber hue, which mesmerize every tourists coming
to this place.
Jian Temples - The
Parswanath Temple is the oldest and the most beautiful
of the Jian Temples. The walls of the sanctum are carved
with animal and human figures. There is small dome which
is crowned by an amalak and a waterpot containing a
lotus flower.
Patwon-ki-Haveli -
This is one of the largest and most elaborate Haveli in
Jaisalmar and stands in a narrow lane. Its is five
storey high and is extensively carved. It is divided
into six apartments, two owned by archaeological Survey
of India, two owned by families of operate craft-shops
and two private homes. There are remnants of painting on
some onside walls as well as some mirror work.
Nathmal Ji ki Haveli -
Two architect brothers built it in the 19th century.
Interestingly, while one concentrated on the right, the
other concentrated on the left and the result is a
symphony epitomizing the side by side symmetry during
construction. Paintings in miniature style monopolies
the walls in the interior. Mighty tuskers carved out of
yellow sandstone stand guard to the haveli.
Tazia Tower - The
delicate pagoda like Tazia Tower rises from Badal Mahal
(Cloud Palace). Rising in its five-tiered splendour,
with each storey graced by a delicately carved balcony,
the tower is of historical significance. Muslim
craftsmen built it in the shape of a Tazia and gifted it
to their royal patron.

Day 05: Jaisalmer - Manvar
(Breakfast, Dinner)
After breakfast, depart for Manvar. After lunch,
go for 3hrs jeep safari. Chances of spotted desert fax,
Chinkara & Black Buck and if lucky, the great Indian
Bustard.
Manvar Safari offers
great outdoor adventure and a taste of the Thar
Desert. Visitors can choose between camel and Jeep
safari. Visitiors can visit tribal (bishnoi) villages,
see desert wild life, (chinkara, desert fox, Nilgai)
watch local craftsmen at work, see chili & mustard
farming in the desert and enjoy the beautiful virgins
sand dunes. The longer safari goes to the demoiselle
crane feeding grounds at Khican and the Bishnoi temple.

to Jodhpur
