Day 01 Monday : Singapore - Damascus (D)
Flight from Singapore to
Damascus. Arrive in Damascus airport
and meet at the gate directly with local agent, who shall provide
full assistance through immigration & customs. Transfer to the hotel
in Damascus for dinner and overnight. |

Day 02 Tuesday :
Damascus - Seydnaya - Maloula - Krack Des Chevaliers - Aleppo
(B,D)
|
Breakfast. Drive to
Seydnaya to visit the Blessed Virgin's Convent and then to
Ma'lula, the honeycomb village which is built on a very
capricious rocky slope. Continue to Krak des Chevaliers, to
visit the famous Crusader Fotress built in 1110. Proceed to
Aleppo city for dinner and overnight. |

Possibility for Lunch (not included) in a local restaurant
in Jerash. Drive back to Amman for dinner and overnight. |

Day 03 Wednesday : Aleppo

|
Breakfast, full day
sightseeing of Aleppo including the Arabian citadel, Old
souks, The Great Mosque, Archeological museum, old barriers
and houses from the 17th century. Dinner and overnight in
Aleppo. |

Day 04 Thursday : Aleppo - St Simeion - Apamea - Hama-Palmyra (B,D)
|
Breakfast, drive
to visit the imposing cathedral of St. Simeion, the Stylite
which was the grandest of all 5th century Christian
monuments. Continue to Apamea to visit the Greek Roman
Byzantine site of Apamea. Then via Hama, one of the oldest
city in Syria, famous for its wooden waterwheels to Palmyra
for dinner and overnight. |

Day 05
Friday
: Palmyra - Damascus
(B,D)
|
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Palmyra, Syria's prime
attraction and one of the world's greatest historical sites
where the magnificent remains: the Temple of Bel, the Arch
of Triumph, Zenobia Bath and more tell stories of the reign
of Queen Zenobia. Afternoon drive back to Damascus for
dinner and overnight. |

Day 06 Saturday : Damascus – Amman (B,D)
|
Breakfast,
sightseeing tour of Damascus, the oldest capital and
continually inhabited city in the world. Visit the Omayyad
Mosque, Saladin's Tomb, The Azem Palace, St. Annania's
Church, Straight Street, St. Paul's Window and the old
covered bazaar. Late afternoon transfer to Amman for dinner
and overnight at hotel in Amman. |

Day 07 Sunday : Amman - Desert Castles - Kan Zaman - Amman (B,D)
After breakfast,
drive to the
East desert to visit the Desert Castles built by the Umayyad Caliphs
of Damascus in the 8th century A.D as hunting lodges. The castles of
Qasr Al-Kharraneh, Qasr Amra and Qasr Al-Azraq varied widely in
architectural style. Possibility for lunch (not included) in Azraq.
Continue to Kan Zaman Village for a visit which is an ancient
caravansary where one can find workshops and artist's studios where
the craftsmen can be seen at their trades-making pottery, glass
blowing, jewelry-smiting, wood-carving etc. Back to Amman for dinner
and overnight. |

Monday
:
Amman - Jerash - Amman

|
After breakfast, visit the ancient and modern capital of
Jordan, Amman, originally built on seven hills. Discover the
Citadel which is situated on one of the highest hills where
one can have a splendid view of the old city. Visit the
Archeological and the Folkloric Museums, the Roman Theater
and King Abdullah Mosque. Drive north of Amman to visit
Jerash, the most beautiful and preserved Roman city in
existence. Possibility for Lunch (not included) in a local
restaurant in Jerash. Drive back to Amman for dinner and
overnight. |

Day 09
Tuesday
:
Amman - Um Qais - Pella - Dead Sea - Amman

After breakfast, drive north of Amman to Un Qeis, the
ancient Greco-Roman City of Gadara, with its panoramic view
overlooking the lake of Tiberias, the Jordan Valley and
Golan Heights. Continue via Jordan Valley to Pella, called
Fahl in Arabic, this name goes back to 4,000 years ago. As
for the name Pella, it was used during the period of
prosperity in the city. The name of the city was originally
given by Alexander who was born in Macedonia. Pella was one
of the 10 cities of Decapolis. Proceed to the Dead Sea, the
lowest spot on earth (400m below sea level). Possibility for
lunch (not included) at the Resthouse on the beach of the
Dead Sea. Time for bathing and relaxing in the salty water
of the Dead Sea. Late afternoon, back to Amman for dinner
and overnight at hotel. |

Amman - Madaba - Mt Nebo - Kings Highway - Petra

After breakfast, drive south to Madaba, home of the most
famous Byzantine Mosaics and visit the Greek Orthodox Church
where the famous 6th century map of the holy places in the
biblical world is found. Continue to Mount Nebo, with its
spectacular view of the Holy Land. Drive via Wadi Mujjib and
through King's Highway to visit the Crusader Castle of Kerak
from the 12th century. Possibility for lunch (not included)
in King's Castle Restaurant. Proceed to the greatest city of
the Arab nation which existed 200 years ago: Petra. Dinner
and overnight at the hotel in Petra. |

After breakfast at the hotel, take a short horse ride from
the main entrance to the entrance of the old city of Petra
El Siq (350m). Enter the gates of the past as you enter the
site of ancient Petra. Live the miracle of Petra, where each
red rose stone has a Nabatean dream to tell. Petra "The Rose
City", was built by the Arab Nabateans 2000 years ago who
hewed their monumental tombs, palaces, temples and treasury
from the desert rock's sandstone in its natural hues of rose
and gold. You will be guided through the architectural and
spiritual wonders of this majestic place as you walk through
this spiritually intoxicating city. Possibility for lunch
(not included) inside the old city of Petra. Back to the
hotel for dinner and overnight. |

Petra - Wadi Rum - Amman

After breakfast drive to the Natural Resort Wadi Rum "The
Valley of the Moon", a landscape of bizarre soaring rock
formations. Lawrence of Arabia spent some time here during
the Arab Revolt and many of the scenes from the film were
shot here. Arrive at the village of Rum where you will be
picked up by the Bedouin jeeps. Explore this splendid desert
with the local Bedouins who will drive you by their 4x4
(6pax per jeep) for 2 hours to the Bed of the Valley of the
Moon to the great mountain of Al Khazali. Discover the clues
from the past carved on the mountains and the fallen
boulder. These clues have some vestige or hint of human
activities that took place during the past, around thousand
years ago. Everywhere there are pictographs of Thamudic,
Nabataean, Greek and Arabic texts and some formal
inscriptions, rock art depicting hunting scenes. Traces of
ancient civilizations exist in many of these carved
inscriptions. Possibility for Lunch (not included) in Wadi
Rum Resthouse. Early afternoon, drive to Amman via the
desert Highway. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Amman. |

Breakfast. Free day in Amman. Dinner and overnight.
Optional excursion to Bethany and Dead Sea.
Bethany is the large loop in the Jordan River opposite
Jericho which has long been identified as the spot where
Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist. It is called
Al-Maghtas in Arabis. Less than two kilometers east of the
river is another important place associated with the life of
Jesus and John the Baptist -- the settlement of Bathany
where John lived and Baptized. The site of baptism of
Bathany is one of the significant & most recent
archaeological and religious discoveries. Continue to Dead
Sea for Relaxation and bathing. Late afternoon back to Amman
for Dinner and overnight. |
