Day 01 Sunday : Tel Aviv (D)
Arrive in Ben Gurion airport
where you will be
met by a Local Representative and transferred to your
hotel. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
Day 02 Monday : Caesarea /
Megiddo / Haifa / Acre (B,D)
After breakfast, depart from Tel Aviv and drive
along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of Judea
under the Romans. Visit the excavations of the ancient
city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. We continue to
Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon and visit
the archaeological excavations at Megiddo, including the
well preserved water supply system. Move onwards to
Haifa to tour the Persian Gardens at the Bahai Temple.
From Haifa, drive to Acre to visit the ancient city and
harbour. Continue to Kibbutz Lavi at Tiberias for dinner
and overnight.
Day 03 Tuesday : Tiberias /
Capernaum / Banias (B,D)
After a short tour of Tiberias, we take a
boat ride to Capernaum for a visit of the remains of the
2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, the
site of the miracle of fish and loaves, and visit the
Church of Multiplication with its 4th century
mosaic floor. Continue to Mount of the Beatitudes, the
place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount.
Drive to the Banias Spring and Waterfall and tour the
Golan Heights. Return to Tiberias for overnight.
Day 04 Wednesday : Nazareth
/ Beit Shean (B,D)
We start the day by driving to Nazareth via
Cana of Galilee. In Nazareth, we shall visit the Church
of the Annunciation, St. Joseph’s Workshop and Mary’s
Well before driving to Beit Shean, a newly excavated
city, to visit the Roman theatre. Continue onwards with
a drive along the Jordan River to Jerusalem for
overnight.
Day 05 Thursday : Jerusalem
- Old City (B,D)
Today we shall experience the ancient magic
of the Old City of Jerusalem, with visits to sites
including: Mount of Olives, Church of All Nations, Tomb
of David at Mt. Zion, Room of the Last Supper. Enter
within the walls of the city and visit the Cardo, Temple
Mount (entrance to the mosques not included), Western
Wall, Via Dolorosa, The Church of the Holy Sepulchre and
the Oriental Bazaar. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 06 Friday : Jerusalem –
New City of Bethlehem (B,D)
Visit the Model of Jerusalem during the
period of the Second Temple, Yad Vashem Memorial to the
Holocaust, Ein Karem and the Church of Visitation,
Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum, which houses
the Dead Sea Scrolls. Proceed to Bethlehem ( visit
subject to security situation) to visit the Church of
the Nativity. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day
07 Saturday : Dead Sea / Massada
(B,D)
Drive to Qumeran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls
where found. Visit the ancient city of Qumeran and drive
along the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on
earth, to Massada, the last stronghold of the Jews after
the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. Ascend
Mt. Massada by cable car and visit the food store-room,
water irrigation system and Herod’s Palace. Return to
Jerusalem for overnight.
Day 08 Sunday : Jerusalem /
Ben Gurion Airport (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Ben Gurion airport for
return flight.
