Day 01 Arrival
into Toronto
Upon arrival into
Toronto, you will be transferred to your hotel (Via sit in

Day 02 Toronto

It’s a lunch time
departure from Toronto on VIA Rail’s new Easterly Class service.

Day 03 Arrive Halifax

Travel through New Brunswick for
arrival in Halifax in the late afternoon. Your vacation begins at
a hotel that is ideally located in the downtown core where you
will spend the night. This evening meet your fellow
travelers and Tour Director at a welcome reception.

Day 04 Halifax
– Port-aux-Basques
(B/L)
Travel via Truro and
Antigonish to cross over the Canso Causeway to Cape Breton Island.
At North Sydney, board a Marine Atlantic ferry for a relaxing
crossing to Port aux Basques, your port of entry on the island of
Newfoundland.

Day 05
Port-aux-Basques – Port au Choix
(B/L/D)
Drive through the Codroy Valley and
on to Corner Brook, the largest city on the west coast, for
a brief tour. Your journey continues through Gros Morne National
Park – to be enjoyed later on during your tour – to the fishing
community of Port au Choix. While there, visit Port au Choix
National Historic Site, before checking in to your
accommodations for the night.

Day 06 Port au
Choix – L’Anse au Clair
(B/D)
Board the ferry from
St. Barbe to cross the Strait of Belle Isle to Labrador.
Continue to Red Bay National Historic Site where the Basques had
a whaling station in the 16th century. Spend the
night in Labrador.

Day 07 L’Anse au
Clair – St. Anthony
(B/D)
Return to
Newfoundland and travel to L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic
Site, the first cultural discovery in the world to receive
recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hear of the Vikings
who walked here over a thousand years ago. This evening attend The
Great Viking Feast at Leifsburdir.

Day 08 St. Anthony
– Cow Head(Breakfast,
Dinner)
Enjoy a morning whale
watching boat tour in St. Anthony (weather permitting)* before
traveling to Cow Head for a two-night stay.
*June and early July are the best time to see Titanic-size
icebergs!

Day 09 Gros Morne
local touring

Discover why Gros Morne
National Park is truly one of the highlights of your tour. Visit
the Broom Point fishing exhibit and Lobster Cove Lighthouse. Enjoy
a scenic boat tour (weather permitting) as you learn the geology
of the Tablelands, see the whales and bald eagles that frequent
the deep waters of the fjord, and hear the history of the small
villages nestled on the shores. It is an unforgettable experience;
some say the scenery is unequaled in eastern Canada.

Day 10 Cow Head

(Breakfast, Dinner)
Have your camera at the
ready as your time in Gros Morne National Park draws to a close.
Later travel through central Newfoundland and visit the Mary March
Regional Museum in Grand Falls–Windsor before arriving in Gander
where you spend two nights.

Day
11 Twillingate touring
(B/L/D)
A scenic drive along
the rocky coast of Notre Dame Bay leads to the beautiful outport
of Twillingate. At the tip of the island, visit Long Point
Lighthouse and the local co-op. Return to Gander to visit the
North Atlantic Aviation Museum before returning to your hotel.

Day 12 Gander –
St. John’s
(B)
Head out on the
Trans-Canada Highway to visit Terra Nova National Park, the most
easterly of Canada’s beautiful national parks. Keep your camera
close at hand for wildlife along the way. Arrive in the capital
city of St. John’s and enjoy an intriguing tour of this old
seaport. See the Victorian architecture of the downtown area, the
busy modern waterfront, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist,
Confederation Building, and the panoramic view from Signal Hill.
Arrive at your St. John’s hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 13 St. John’s
touring – Marine Atlantic Ferry
(B/D)
This morning enjoy some
free time to explore on your own. In the afternoon drive to Bay
Bulls for one of the highlights of your trip …a boat tour to the
Witless Bay bird sanctuary (weather permitting). Later visit the
most easterly point in North America, Cape Spear National Historic
Site before returning to St. John’s for a farewell dinner. After
dinner travel to Argentia for an overnight ferry crossing to North
Sydney, Nova Scotia. Cabins are included.

Day 14 North Sydney –
Halifax
(B/D)
Your ferry arrives in
Nova Scotia in the early afternoon. Your tour continues along the
shores of Bras d’Or to the mainland. The last night is at a
downtown Halifax hotel.

Day 15 Halifax –
Toronto (L/D)
Although you begin your
journey homeward today, VIA Rail’s Easterly Class service allows
you to continue enjoying the best Atlantic Canada just a bit
longer.

Toronto

Your tour ends on
arrival Toronto where your tour ends at approximately 15:30.

- Final Payment
Final payment of the balance of the cost of the tour price or
service is required at least 3 weeks before departure or upon
confirmation, whichever is earlier.
- Late Bookings
In the event of late bookings of less than 35 days before
arrival, the total amount is payable at time of booking.
- Cancellation Fees
35 - 15 days notice: 50% package price
14 - 6 days notice: 75% of package price
5 days or less notice: 100% of package price
The following hotels charge 100% cancellation fees if cancelled 30
days or less prior to arrival : Painter's Lodge (Campbell River),
Hudson Bay Lodge, Lake Louise Inn, Whistler Village Inn & Suites,
Delta Whistler Village Suites, Pan Pacific Whistler, Crystal Lodge
Whistler.
- Refunds
There will be no refund for unused services which were
reserved at the time of confirmed booking as suppliers would have
received payment in advance.
- Changes to Terms & Conditions
J3 Travel & our supplier reserve the right to withdraw or
amend the Terms & conditions and advise any adjusted pricing due
to changes in supplier costs, without notice. However your holiday
costs are protected against adjustments or amendments once final
payment has been received.
- Visas
It is the responsibility of the travel agent and passengers to
ensure that they are in possession of the necessary travel
documents including a valid passport and visas. No refunds can be
made for cancelled trips due to lack of proper travel
documentation after final payment.
- Travel Insurance
Passengers are advised to purchase insurance prior to their
departure from their final destination.
- Rooming
Hotel rooming is based on standard room with bath and are on
run-of-house allocation of rooms decided by the hotel management.
- Triple/ Quad Occupancy
All adult triple and quad occupancy rates are quoted based on
using existing bedding only. Rollaway bed will be on availability
basis and payment is to be made direct to the hotel.
- Hotel Check-In Time
It is standard policy in Canada that hotel rooms are not
available for check-in prior to 4p.m.
- Children
Child rates are based on children aged under 12 years at time
of departure from their initial destination. Tour or hotel
accommodation price for a child sharing with two adults is based
on using existing bedding. Child paying a twin-share rate and
sharing a room with one adult will be allocated a bed.
- Tipping/ Gratuities
Hotel service charge and room taxes are included. Porterage is
not included unless pre-arranged. However, tipping of USD$2 per
person per day is recommended for each person - The driver and
guide (if any).
- Taxes
Rates include all the relevant taxes.
- Responsibilities
J3 Travel not itself a direct supplier of transportation,
accommodation and other travel services. It acts as an agent
and/or intermediary for the independent suppliers and contractors.
J3 Travel assumes no responsibility of liability for any injury,
accident or damage due to and loss of any service resulting
directly or indirectly from strikes, declared or undeclared
government regulations, thefts, failure of means, acts of God,
discrepancies or changes over which its has no control. Reasonable
changes in the itinerary may be made when necessary for the
comfort and safety of tour participants. The right is also
reserved to decline, accept or retain any person as a tour member
at any time. All claims against our supplier must be received in
writing no later than thirty days after the last day of service.
