Rail Pass is an economical and useful pass for
fully enjoying Western Japan.

Qualifications for
Purchase |
|
|
|
Overseas customers who
meet all of the following conditions can buy the pass:
-
Persons who have a passport issued by a government or other
authority outside Japan, as well as customers who have come to
Japan with "Temporary Visitor" residence status
(15 days period of stay). However, persons from countries with
visa exemptions - such as the United States, Canada, Germany,
France, Italy, Holland, Switzerland, Sweden, and New Zealand can
buy the pass, even with a 90 days period of stay in Japan.

Customers who have an Embarkation / Disembarkation Card (ED
Card) for departure from Japan, as well as a return ticket of
airline of ship.

Customers who are purchasing a JR-West Rail Pass for the first
time during their stay in Japan (purchase limited to one pass
per person per trip).
* Under the
Immigration-Control Act of Japan, "Temporary Visitor"
status is that which allows for a visit to Japan for sightseeing or
other purposes for 15 days or 90 days.

Contents of Pass
There are two types of pass: a 4-day pass and an 8-day
pass.
It allowed for unrestricted boarding and unboarding,
within the designated area, of the following trains
operated by West Japan Railway Co, (JR West): "NOZOMI",
"HIKARI" and "KODAMA" Sanyo Shinkansen
super express trains, "HARUKA" limited express
trains, ordinary cars of local trains (both reserved and
free-seating), and the Miyajima ferry line in Hiroshima |

In case of reserved seats: A reserved seat can only be used by
receiving a reserved-seat ticket (at no extra charge) at a
ticket office "Midori-no-madoguchi" at stations of
the West Japan Railway Co. before boarding the train. |

This is a pass that
can be used for traveling to Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nara, Himeji and
other sightseeing places in the Kansai area via local trains
(rapid-service and new rapid-service trains can also be used). Of
course, available for getting off at Universal City Station, the
closest station to Universal Studio Japan.

Contents of Pass
There are four types of pass: 1-day, 2-day, 3-day and
4-day passes.
It allows for unrestricted boarding and unboarding,
within the designated area, of free-seating local trains (including
rapid-service and new rapid-service trains) operated by
West Japan Railway Co. (JR West).
It cannot be used for boarding Shinkansen super express
trains. When boarding a train other than a Shinkansen
super express train, such as a limited express or express
train, it is necessary to separately pay the applicable
charges for these and other trains. |

Items to Remember at
Time of Use
|

The JR-West
Rail Pass is limited
to use only by the registered person. It cannot be turned over to
another person. You are required to carry your passport at all
times while using the rail pass;
-
The
JR-West Rail Pass can only
be refunded at the exchange location prior to the starting date of
use. For all refunds, a processing fee of 10% is deducted from the
yen value of each pass. When the amount to be refunded comes to
210 yen or less, however, a minimum fee of 210 yen will be
charged. Under no circumstances will the cost be refunded on or
after the starting date of use of the pass.

No items appearing on the
JR-West Rail Pass may be altered.

The
JR-West Rail Pass will not
be reissued if lost or stolen.

Other conditions are subject to
passenger transport regulations established by West Japan Railway
Co. (JR West), as well as the laws of the country of Japan.
Moreover, the exchange slip is subject to the rules and
regulations of the company that issued the slip.
