Tour Pace

Enjoy two-night stays in Banff National Park, Jasper National Park and Victoria, where there is ample time to see the city on an orientation tour and explore the beautiful Butchart Gardens. A leisurely train journey from Jasper to Vancouver ensures that this is a trip you will never forget.

DAY 1 - ARRIVE VANCOUVER

Welcome to Vancouver! After a complimentary transfer between the airport and the tour hotel, meet your Tour Director at the hotel in the afternoon. Hotel: Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside.

DAY 2 - VANCOUVER - SUNSHINE COAST

Enjoy the sheltered beauty of British Columbia's Sunshine Coast as you cruise across Howe Sound and Jervis Inlet to Saltery Bay. Next move on to the hotel in the former fishing and logging town of Lund on the shores of Desolation Sound. In the evening, join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Drink and Highlight Dinner Cruise on these incredible waterways. Hotel: Historic Lund Hotel.

DAY 3 - SUNSHINE COAST - VICTORIA

Take in more breath-taking scenery as you sail across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island. Travel along the eastern shore, via Nanaimo and Chemainus, to visit the fabulous Butchart Gardens. Take time to wander amid the floral displays before continuing to the hotel in Victoria. End the day with dinner at one of Victoria's great restaurants. Hotel: Marriott Inner Harbour.

DAY 4 - VICTORIA SIGHTSEEING

A morning orientation tour of Victoria takes in the British Columbia Legislature building, the Inner Harbour, bustling Government Street, Market Square and Beacon Hill Park. Visit the award-winning Royal British Columbia Museum and then the rest of the day is free for you to explore at your own pace.

DAY 5 - VICTORIA - KELOWNA

Return to the mainland today and follow the Fraser River eastwards. Continue over the Coast Mountains and into the scenic Okanagan Valley. This evening, be sure to leave time for a stroll along the shores of Lake Okanagan. Hotel: Coast Capri Hotel.

DAY 6 - KELOWNA - BANFF NATIONAL PARK

Climbing into British Columbia's majestic mountains, you travel through four national parks - Mount Revelstoke, Glacier, Yoho and Banff. View interior temperate rainforests, glacier-draped peaks and rushing rivers while exploring this amazing landscape. Cross the Continental Divide at Kicking Horse Pass and arrive in Alberta and the town of Banff, set deep in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Hotel: Fairmont Banff Springs.

The day is reserved for you to enjoy the resort's facilities, or join one of the optional activities.

DAY 8 - BANFF - LAKE LOUISE - YOHO

Surrounded by snow-frosted Rocky Mountain peaks lies Lake Louise where you will board a gondola and ride up the mountain for sweeping views over the lake and glacier. Learn about the grizzly bears that make these alpine meadows their home. After a relaxing lunch at the Lodge of Ten Peaks, cross the valley to visit dramatic Moraine Lake (weather permitting). Stop off at the famous Spiral Tunnels and Natural Bridge before arriving at the jewel of Yoho National Park - Emerald Lake, home to some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. DAY 9 - YOHO NATIONAL PARK - JASPER

Experience one of the world's most spectacular highways - the Icefields Parkway. Drive through the heart of the Rockies, past huge peaks, immense glaciers, cascading waterfalls, iridescent lakes and wildflower- filled meadows. The stark grandeur of the Columbia Icefield caps it all. Step onboard a unique Ice Explorer for a guided tour to the centre of the Athabasca Glacier. Then continue through Sunwapta Pass to your hotel in Jasper National Park

DAY 10 - DISCOVER JASPER NATIONAL PARK

DAY 11 - CANADIAN ROCKIES BY RAIL

After a leisurely morning in Jasper, climb aboard The Canadian for one of the world's great rail journeys. Enjoy VIA Rail's Silver & Blue luxury service with private compartments that convert into cozy bedrooms. Enjoy access to the Park Car - with its 360-degree view domes, the Skyline Car and the Dining Car, which offers first-class meals and many other privileges. DAY 12 - ARRIVE VANCOUVER

The rail adventure follows the Fraser and Thompson River Canyons before arriving in Vancouver. Enjoy some leisure time before moving on to Capilano Suspension Bridge for a Treetops Adventure - a unique walk high in the trees over cedar-scented rainforest, followed by a delicious Farewell Dinner.
