Pick-up from hotel and transfer
to Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty. Board a motor boat for a 20minutes ride to
the beautiful Manukan Island for some photo taking before we cruise to
Mamutik Island. Luxriate on pristine white beaches, swim in warm azure
water and snorkel amidst a myriad of tropical fishes or explore the rich
coral reef on the island's fringes. The day is yours to enjoy at leisure
and it may be as lazy as you wish it to be. Take an exciting Banana Boat
rides or try out parasailing or windsurfing. A sumptuous lunch will be
served by the beach. |

Explore one of the most
interesting "Tamu" in Sabah, set in Kota Belud, home of the "cowboys of
the East". A weekly event, the Kota Belud Tamu is a colorful melting pot
of hawkers, vendors, farmers, fishermen and cattle breeder alike. The "tamu"
(market)
is as much a place to trade as it is the meeting place for friends and neighbors. You may even glimpse Bajau horsemen in their splendid finery,
refining their traditional sword making. Thereafter, we drive on to visit
the Bavanggazo "Rungus Longhouse" Village. One of Sabah's many
indigenous tribes, the Rungus are mostly farmers and gifted artisans who
excel in woven basketry and intricate beadwork. Their longhouse provides
shelter for up to 20 -40 families who each have their own private
'apartments' yet share a common living area. Continue our journey to Kudat
Town for a brief tour of this rustic town and have our lunch at Kudat
Marina Resort then head north, passing through vast oil palm and coconut
plantations for a stopover at Gombizou and Sumangkap villages to observe
honey bee farming and gong-making. |

Embark on a ride that will take
you across mountainous Crocker Range with panoramic views of the rustic
countryside and the soaring hills. Enroute to Kinabalu Park, catch sight
of Mt. Kinabalu, South East Asia's highest peak. The park is a World
Heritage Site with incredible mega bio-diversity of flora and fauna, a
heaven for nature enthusiasts. On arrival, enjoy a guided nature trek
along one of the many trails in the park before proceeding to Poring Hot
Springs. AS the name suggest, Poring Hot Spring offers visitors the
opportunity for an invigorating dip into its hot sulphur spring. For a
close look at nature, take to the 41m high 'Canopy Walk' which offers a
tree-view of the Borneo Rainforest flora and fauna. |
