German Railpass
Whether your visit is for business or pleasure, allow plenty of time to enjoy the sights. Germany’s state of the art train system makes it very easy to travel between bustling cities.

2 Adults:
Reduced rates for 2 adults travelling together at all times.
Youth:
Valid in 2nd Class and exclusively for those who are under 26 on the first day of validity of their passes.
Child:
Children aged between 6 and 11 years old travel at half price, and up to 5 years old, travel free when sharing seat/bed with adult.
 
General Conditions
  • All fares are quoted in EUR and are based on per person. Subject to change at time of booking.
  • All passes are subject to an issuance fee of EUR4 per person.
  • Valid from 01 Jan to 31 Dec 2007 (subject to change).
Conditions of Use :
  • Passes must be validated within 6 months of issuing date by a railway official in Germany (station's desk) who also fills in the passport number.
  • Passes must be validated prior to boarding the first train/ship
  • An Inspector on international trains to Germany may also validate a pass when the holder of the German Railpass arrives in Germany. In that case, the starting date for validity to be shown on the pass is the date on which it is inspected
  • The date of travel has to be entered in the correct way before boarding the first train/ship, by the traveler, in the corresponding box of the calendar
  • 7.00pm rule: if an overnight train starts after 7.00pm on a validated German Railpass, the passholder must enter the next day's date on the pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass.
Refund
  • German Rail pass must be presented for refund unused and not validated
  • An 85% refund applies to totally unused passes returned within 1 year of issuing date
  • German Rail passes are not refundable and cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or partially used
Eligible Party
  • People with a permanent residence outside of Europe (for more than 6 months) the United Kingdom, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and the European State of the Russian Federation are eligible to purchase and use a German Railpass.
Benefits
  • Special Passholder fare on Berlin Warszawa Express, CityNightLine (on the route from/to Germany) and Paris-Germany Night Train
  • The German Railpass exempts the holder from paying a surcharge on German High Speed and quality trains such as ICE(except ICE Sprinter with compulsory reservation and supplement for special on-board service), InterCity(IC) and EuroCity(EC). German Railpass holders have free access to these trains howeever reservations are recommended during peak travel times.
  • Free travel on steamers operated by 'KD German Rhine Line' on the River Rhine between Koeln and Mainz and on the Mosel between Koblenz and Cochem.   • Lake of Constance: 50% reduction on all steamer routes operated by Bodenseeschifffahrtsbetriebe(BSB) www.bsb-online.com
