Austrian Rail Pass

The Austrian Railpass offers you from 3 up to 8 days of unlimited train travel in a 15-day period. Travel days can be used consecutively or non-consecutively. 1st and 2nd Class available.

Features :

Unlimited travel on the entire national rail network of Austria (1st class & 2nd class)
Basic Pass: any 3 days within a 15-day period
Ability to add up to 5 additional rail days
Travel days may be used consecutively or non-consecutively
The Austrian Rail Pass is valid on all non-stop trains on the German leg of the section between Kufstein and Salzburg called 'DB Korridor'.

Children:
Children aged between 6 and 11 years old travel at half price, and up to 5 years old, travel free when sharing seat/bed with adult.

General Conditions :

Valid from 01 Jan to 31 Dec 2007 (subject to change).
All fares are quoted in EURO and are based on per person. Subject to change at time of booking.
All passes are subject to an issuance fee of EUR4 per person.

Conditions of Use :

Passes must be validated within 6 months of issuing date by a railway official in Austria (station's desk) who also fills in the passport number.
Passes must be validated prior to boarding the first train/ship
The date of travel has to be entered in the correct way before boarding the first train/ship, by the traveler, in the corresponding box of the calendar
7.00pm rule: if an overnight train starts after 7.00pm on a validated Austrian Railpass, the passholder must enter the next day's date on the pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass.

Refund :

Austrian Railpasses must be presented unused and not validated for refund
An 85% refund applies to totally unused passes returned within 1 year of issuing date
Austrian Railpasses are not refundable and cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or partially use

Eligible Party :

People with a permanent residence (for more than 6 months) outside of Europe, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria or Tunisia are eligible to purchase or use an Austrian Railpass.
