Terms & Conditions
are correct at time of going to press but are subject to
change.

Terms & Conditions
vary by country. The renter should check at time of
reservation and note that all rentals are subject to the
Terms & Conditions detailed on the reverse of the Rental
Agreement.

All insurances may
be subject to a non-waivable excess.

You must have held
a valid national driving license for at least one year. An
International License may also be required. Renter must meet
Avis age, driver and credit requirements.

The minimum age
limit is 21-25 (23-25 for additional drivers) depending on
country of rental. Check with us when booking.

You will be
provided with a full tank of fuel. If you return the car
with a full tank, no refueling charges with apply. However,
if Avis is required to refuel the tank after you have
returned the car, a charge will be levied which takes into
account the cost of the fuel, time and labour incurred in
refueling the vehicle.

Avis reserves the
right to refuse to rent. All rentals are subject to the full
Avis Terms & Conditions, which are detailed on the back of
the Rental Agreement and Insurance Policy Document and
should be read at the time of rental.

Airport service
charge: Rentals commencing at airport location may be
subject to a surcharge. Please check at time of booking.

One way rentals
are often available, fees may apply, check at time of
booking.

Rental period:
Daily rates are based on 24 hour periods.

Middle East and Asia |
|
|
|
SuperValue rate includes: Unlimited mileage / kilometres,
Statutory Third Party Liability, Collision Damage Waiver (a non-waivable
excess may apply in some areas), Theft Protection and local
taxes. |
|
SuperValue rate does not includes: Optional insurances,
fuel, airport surcharges (if applicable), non-waivable excess
fee (if applicable), one way rental fees, additional driver
fees, and vehicle registration fee. |
|
|
|
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) |
|
CDW
is designed for accidental damage caused to the Avis ve3hicle
other than by theft or attempted theft and includes the cost of
repairing or replacing the vehicle, towing, storage charges,
loss of use and administrative costs.
There is a policy excess responsible to th3e renter. CDW is
mandatory if the renter is aged between 23-25 and paying by cash
or cheque. If CDW is declined, the renter will be their own
insurer. If the vehicle gets damaged and there is no CDW cover,
the renter will be responsible for the cost of repair of damages
up to the replacement value of the car. |

Theft Protection (TP) |
|
Provides cover for the theft or attempted theft of the vehicle
up to the full value of the vehicle and any additional costs. |
|
|
|
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) |
|
PAI
provides the renter and passengers travelling with the named
driver with a specified amount of accidental death insurance and
medical coverage for injuries due to an accident while in the
Avis vehicle., In some countries PAI also covers baggage. |
|
|
|
Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW), Super Theft Protection (STP)
and Super Personal Accident Insurance (SPAI) |
|
These insurance options are available at a higher premium in a
number of countries and provide increased coverage. |

USA |
|
Your USA SuperValue rate includes: Unlimited mileage, Loss
Damage Waiver (LDW) |
|
Your USA SuperValue rate does not includes: State / local
taxes (tax varies by state between approximately 4% and 18%),
state surcharges, optional coverage, fuel, one way rental fees
where applicable, airport contract fees, charges for additional
drivers and drivers aged between 21-25 years. |

|
|
CANADA |
|
Your Canada SuperValue rate includes: Unlimited mileage,
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) |
|
Your Canada SuperValue rate does not includes: Local taxes,
optional coverage, fuel, one way rental fees (where applicable)
and additional driver fee, excess kilometres. |
|
Minimum age limit:

USA and Canada
Insurances |
|
|
|
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) |
|
LDW
is not available from Avis in Illinois or New York. In the state
of New York, you are liable to pay up to US $100 towards damage
to the Avis vehicle and in Illinois up to US $200.
If you do not accept LDW, you are responsible for all loss of or
damage to the rental car due to theft, collision, vandalism, or
any cause other than specified on your Rental Agreement.
Laws may also prohibit Avis from offering it in other areas of
the U.S. If local law, where your Rental Agreement is signed,
provides LDW terms that are different than those stated in your
Rental Agreement, local law will apply. |

|
Additional Liability Insurance (ALI) |
|
ALI
insures you and authorized operators as defined in the Avis
Rental Agreement against claims made by third parties against
you, the customer, for bodily injury / death and property damage
caused by the use or operation of an Avis Rental Vehicle. The
purchase of ALI is not required in order to rent an Avis car.
In Canada, Public Liability and Property Damage vary by Province
and are included in the rates with a maximum of CA $200,000 per
accident (CA $50,000 in the province of Quebec). |

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) (USA) |
|
PAI
provides the renter and passengers travelling with the named
driver with a specified amount of accidental death insurance and
medical coverage for injuries due to an accident while in the
Avis vehicle. In some countries PAI also covers baggage. |
|
|
|
Personal Effects Protection (PEP) |
|
PEP
insures against all risks of physical loss or damage to the
insured property from any external cause, except as excluded,
during the rental period of the vehicle.
The maximum coverage for each covered individual during the
rental period is US $600 (US $500 in Jew York) and CA $500 in
Canada, after a deductible of US $25 / CA $50 per covered claim.
The maximum coverage for all individuals during the rental
period is $1,800 in the U.S. ($1,500 in New York and Canada)
after application of all deductibles.
Coverage is provided for:
A. The person signing the Rental Agreement (renter), and
B. Members of the immediate family travelling with the renter,
and who are permanently residing in the same household.
Avis Reserves the right to amend prices should the USA impose
insurance legislation or make changes to US State or local laws
during the validity of this brochure. |

Australia and New Zealand |
|
|
|
AUSTRALIA |
|
SuperValue rate includes: Unlimited kiometres in
metropolitan areas; Statutory Third Party Liability; Collision
Damage Waiver; Goods and Services Tax (10%); State Stamp Duty. |
|
SuperValue rate does not includes: Excess kilometres in
remote areas, Personal Accident Insurance, Persona; Effects and
Baggage Insurance, one way fee, fuel, excess fee if applicable,
Airport concession recovery fees, optional extras. |
|
One way rentals: One way rentals in Australia are available
on a request basis and are subject to the one way rental policy
current at time of rental. |

What you should
know about insurance |
|
Your liability and insurance:
In the event of accidental damage all rentals are subject to an
excess of up to A$2750. An additional insurance may be available
locally to cover any excess. |
|
Kilometres:
Unlimited in Northern Territory, Metropolitan and country areas.
In other areas, rates include 100kms per day, excess charged at
27 c per kilometre. |

NEW ZEALAND |
|
SuperValue rate includes: Unlimited kiometres, Motor Vehicle
Insurance. |
|
SuperValue rate does not includes: Goods and Services Tax (GST),
delivery fees, miscellaneous charges, petrol and GST on these
charges. |
|
One way rentals: Vehicle cannot be picked up in one island
and left in another. When travelling between islands,
change-over vehicles are supplied in Wellington (WL4) in the
North Island and Picton (ON6) in the South Island. This
change-over service will be calculated as one continuous hire,
providing the next vehicle is picked up within 5 hours. 72 hours
notice is required for the change-over service and a minimum
hire period of 3 days in each island applies. |

|
What you should
know about insurance |

|
|
|
Country Locations |
|
Remote location surcharge of NZ$5.00 plus GST is applicable to
rentals commencing at these locations:
Greymouth, Hokitika, Westport, Gisborne. |
|
|
|
Insurance Excess |
|
In
the case of damage to the vehicle the renter is liable for an
insurance excess. The amount of the excess is NZ$1200 plus GST
for car groups A-E & NZ$1900 plus GST for car groups P-V. An
additional insurance may be available locally to cover any
excess. Refer to reservation centre for details. |

|
